Why pH is important in Hydroponic Systems?
For plants to achieve optimum growth, the pH of the available media and water should not be exceeding 7, also the ideal pH has to be between 5.8 and 6.2. Right now, the soil pH has become alkaline due to too many chemicals being used in the soil, thus resulting in deterioration of the soil performance. As the pH of the media increases, their fertilizer consumption decreases, and it affects the health and growth of the plants. Thus, a pH up and down kit is required to balance the levels.
